Which build you need.
Four artefacts, and the two Mac ones are not interchangeable. The wrong Mac build will not open, and macOS does not say why in so many words.
macOS
Apple silicon (arm64) disk image
For any Mac whose About This Mac shows a Chip line reading “Apple M1”, “M2”, “M3” or “M4”. This is the build the application is developed and run on.
Intel (x64) disk image
For a Mac whose About This Mac shows a Processor line naming Intel. Same code, built for the other architecture; the file name ends -x64.
Built and signature-checked, but never launched: there is no Intel Mac in this project. If it does not start on yours, tell us and the refund window covers it.
Windows — beta
Installer (64-bit)
The ordinary Windows install, and the one to take unless you know you want the other: it asks where to put LeadCo, makes a Start-menu and desktop shortcut, and needs no administrator rights. Uninstalling removes the program and leaves your settings, credentials and history alone.
Built on a Mac and checked as an archive, but nobody has yet watched LeadCo start on Windows hardware — which is why it ships as a beta and why no minimum Windows version is stated. It is the same complete application, and the refund window applies to it in full.
Portable executable (64-bit)
Installs nothing — it runs from wherever you put it. Take this one for a locked-down machine or a USB stick.
The same build as the installer above, and under the same beta caution.
There is no universal macOS binary: the two disk images are separate builds and you take the one that matches your chip.
What it needs to run.
- macOS
- macOS 11 Big Sur or later, on Apple silicon or Intel — the minimum the application bundle itself declares. Apple silicon is the build we run day to day; the Intel build is compiled and signature-checked from the same source but has never been launched, because there is no Intel Mac in this project. The 14-day refund window covers it.
- Windows (beta)
- A 64-bit Windows PC. The Windows build is produced on a Mac and has not yet been run on Windows hardware by us, so it ships as a beta and we state no minimum Windows version we have not tested. It is the same complete application, and the 14-day refund window applies to it in full.
- Delivery
- A download, not a web app. The installer runs on your own computer.
- Proxy service
- A proxy account in your own name is required — the Start button stays switched off until one is connected and successfully tested. Any provider offering rotating residential proxies over HTTP works, DataImpulse being the one the in-app notes are written for. You buy it separately and the provider bills you for the traffic; it is not included in any LeadCo licence.
- Account
- None. No sign-up, no password and no dashboard on this site.
- Internet
- A working connection. LeadCo reads a live public source, so it cannot run offline.
One more thing worth knowing before you install it: everything LeadCo keeps — settings, proxy credentials and run history — lives in your user profile’s application-data folder, ~/Library/Application Support/LeadCo on macOS and %APPDATA%\LeadCo on Windows, never beside the application. Moving or replacing the application does not touch it, and deleting the application does not delete it — to remove LeadCo completely, delete that folder too.

What is in 5.0.0.
The first public release, so there is no changelog to print. This is what the build does and where its limits are — worth knowing before you install it rather than after.
Two export formats
CSV with 36 columns, one row per business; and a PDF call sheet with a fixed three-column layout — business, phone, map link. No XLSX, no JSON, no API, no CRM connector.
Three segmented controls and two switches
Website, Phone and Rating — each a set of mutually exclusive options — plus two Advanced switches, independent-only and hide public/institutional, both on by default. There are no presets to learn and none to get out of step with the controls.
Radius 0.1 to 5.0 km
In steps of 0.1, kilometres only, starting at 1.0. Five kilometres is the largest circle one run can honestly finish, so it is the largest the slider offers.
1,102 map categories
Picked exactly rather than typed as free text, in fifteen groups, with search across the whole catalogue. The default is every local business in the circle, so nothing has to be chosen for a first run.
A ten-minute ceiling, and no cache
Every run stops at ten minutes and keeps everything it collected. Nothing is cached between runs: pressing Start always makes live requests, because a cached listing quietly stops being true.
Seven days of run history
Saved runs are kept for a week, then the most recent 200 of what survives. Exports are files on your disk and are never touched by it.
Your proxy, your machine
The application ships no proxy and operates no cloud queue. It runs on your computer, goes out through a rotating residential account you hold, and keeps its settings, credentials and history in your user profile’s application-data folder — apart from the program, so replacing the program cannot touch them.
No licence check, and no update channel
Activation is switched off in this build, so nothing is locked and the Licence panel is hidden. There is also no in-app updater: a new version is a new download.
Your computer will warn you. Here is why.
Neither build is signed with a paid developer certificate yet, so both operating systems hold it on first launch. This is expected, it happens to every unsigned application, and it is not a fault in the download.
macOS
macOS cannot verify the developer of “LeadCo”. Are you sure you want to open it?
By opening this app, you will be overriding system security, which can expose your computer and personal information to malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.
Drag LeadCo out of the disk image into Applications first — do not run it from the mounted window. Then right-click the application (or hold Control and click) and choose Open: this is the dialog, and Open is the button. Once — a normal double-click works from then on.
The wording varies by macOS version — “could not verify … is free of malware”, “the developer cannot be verified”, “is damaged and can’t be opened” — and none of the three is true of the file you downloaded. The build carries an ad-hoc signature and has not been notarised.
Windows
Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognised app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

The build is unsigned. An Authenticode certificate would not remove this warning immediately either — SmartScreen accrues reputation per certificate over download volume, so early customers see it even on signed software.
If you ever see either warning for software you did not deliberately download, do not do this. It exists for a reason.
Checking that you got the file we sent.
Where this site serves a file itself, its SHA-256 is printed beside it and is computed from the exact bytes being served — not copied from a build log. Compare it with shasum -a 256 <file> on macOS, or Get-FileHash <file> in PowerShell.
